BMW

In this post, The Best Cars will tell you everything about the brand BMW.
BMW stands for Bayerische Motoren Werke (AG), witch means: Bavarian Motor Works. BMW is a German automobile, motorcycle and engine manufacturing company. The company was founded in 1916. BWM is known for its performance and luxury vehicles. BMW owns and produces the MINI brand, and is the parent company of the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. the brand BMW produces cars and motorcycles.
After World War I, BMW was forced to cease aircraft (engine) production by the terms of the Versailles Armistice Treaty. The company consequently shifted to motorcycle production in 1923 once the restrictions of the treaty started to be lifted, followed by automobiles in 1928-1929.
The circular blue and white BMW logo or roundel is portrayed by BMW as the movement of an aircraft propeller, to signify the white blades cutting through the blue sky – an interpretation that BMW adopted for convenience in 1929, twelve years after the roundel was created. The emblem evolved from the circular Rapp Motorenwerke company logo, from which the BMW company grew, combined with the white and blue colors of the flag of Bavaria, reversed to produce the BMW roundel.
By 1959 the automotive division of BMW was in financial difficulties and a shareholders meeting was held to decide whether to go into liquidation or find a way of carrying on. It was decided to carry on and to try to cash in on the current economy car boom enjoyed so successfully by some of Germany’s ex-aircraft manufacturers such as Messerschmitt and Heinkel. Therefore the rights to manufacture the tiny Italian Iso Isetta were bought using a modified form of BMW’s own motorcycle engine. This was moderately successful and helped the company get back on its feet. The dominating shareholder of the BMW Aktiengesellschaft since 1959 is the Quandt family, which owns about 46% of the stock. The rest is in public float.
In 1992, BMW acquired a large stake in Californian-based industrial design studio DesignworksUSA, which they fully acquired in 1995. In 1994, BMW bought the British Rover Group[11] (which at the time consisted of the Rover, Land Rover and MG brands as well as the rights to defunct brands including Austin and Morris), and owned it for six years. By 2000, Rover was making huge losses and BMW decided to sell the combine. The MG and Rover brands were sold to the Phoenix Consortium to form MG Rover, while Land Rover was taken over by Ford. BMW, meanwhile, retained the rights to build the new MINI, which was launched in 2001.
Chief designer Chris Bangle announced his departure from BMW after serving on the design team for nearly seventeen years. He will be replaced by Adrian van Hooydonk, Bangle’s former right hand man. Bangle was famously (or infamously) known for his radical designs such as the 2002 7-Series and the 2002 Z4. In July 2007, Husqvarna was purchased by BMW for a reported 93 million euros. BMW Motorrad plans to continue operating Husqvarna Motorcycles as a s

Internally, BMW associates an “e-code” for each generation of a series (”E” stands for Entwicklung, German for development or evolution). These “chassis codes” only change to signify a major redesign of a series, or the introduction of a new series. BMW AG reported in September 2006 that BMW would switch to the letter “F” for their future models, beginning with the F01 7 Series replacement.

In this post, The Best Cars will tell you everything about Lamborghini Murciélago.
The Lamborghini Murciélago is a sports car produced by Italian automaker Lamborghini. It is often referred to as a supercar and is Lamborghini’s flagship and the halo car of the automaker’s lineup. The Murciélago is a high-performance two-door, two-seat coupé, powered by an evolution of the Lamborghini V12 engine. A roadster version of the car was introduced in 2004.

The Murciélago was introduced in 2001 for the 2002 model year as the successor to the famed Diablo supercar, and was the automaker’s first new design in eleven years, as well as the first under the ownership of German automaker Audi. Continuing company tradition, the Murciélago was named for a famed Spanish fighting bull, and was styled by Peruvian-born Belgian Luc Donckerwolke, Lamborghini’s head of design from 1998 to 2005.
Lamborghini Murciélago LP640
The Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 is an improved version of the Lamborghini Murciélago. LP640 stands for the position and the power of the engine: “Longitudinale Posterione” and 640 horsepower. The Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 was presented in Genève in 2006, as the continuator of the regular Murciélago.
The 6.2-liter engine is replaced by a 6.5-liter V12 witch produces 60 horsepower more. The Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 has a standard 4-wheel drive, witch, under normal circumstances will turn 70% of the power to the back wheels. This may, however, turn into 100% when the front wheels lose their grip.

McLaren Automotive:

McLaren Formula One:
McLaren is a Formula One team based in Woking, Surrey, UK. Founded in 1963 by New Zealander Bruce McLaren. McLaren is best known as a Formula One constructor but has also competed in the Indianapolis 500-Mile Race and Canadian-American Challenge Cup. The team is one of the most successful teams in Formula One. The Team of Mclaren Formula One has won 162 races, 12 Drivers’ Championships and 8 Constructors’ Championships. The team were the first to design a car using a carbon fibre monocoque (which means that the “skin” of the car is used to support structural load, as opposite to using an internal frame), which is now ubiquitous in its use by all teams. The current team was formed by the merger of Bruce McLaren Motor Racing with Ron Dennis’s Project Four Racing in 1981. Shortly after the merger, Dennis organised a buyout of the original McLaren shareholders to take full control of the team. McLaren is part of McLaren Racing, a member of the McLaren Group. Dennis was team principal from the 1981 merger until March 2009, when he agreed to transfer his position to longtime McLaren employee Martin Whitmarsh. Dennis will continue to work within the McLaren Group.

Bugatti
April 14th, 2009 by wezzie
In this post, The Best Cars will tell you everything about the brand Bugatti. Bugatti is a car manufacturer which makes high performing vehicles. The cars made by Bugatti are often very exspensive. Bugatti was founded in Molsheim, France, by Ettore Bugatti. The original Bugatti company is legendary for producing some of the most exclusive cars in the world as well as some of the fastest. The original Bugatti brand failed with the coming of World War II, like many high-end Brands of the time. The death of Ettore’s son, Jean was also a contributory factor. The company struggled financially and finished one last model in the 1950s before eventually being purchased for its airplane parts business in the 1960s. Today Bugatti is owned by Volkswagen Group who have revived it as a builder of very limited production sports cars.

Bugatti Automobiles S.p.A.
Bugatti EB110 (1996).
Italian entrepreneur Romano Artioli acquired the famous Bugatti name in 1987 and established Bugatti Automobili SpA. The new company built a factory designed by the architect Giampaolo Benedini in Campogalliano, Italy, a town near Modena, home to other performance-car manufacturers: De Tomaso, Ferrari, Pagani and Maserati. On August 27, 1993, Romano Artioli purchased the lotus companie from General Motors. Now, the two grates historical names in automotive racing were brought togeter. In 1993, Bugatti presented the prototype of a large sedan called the EB 112.
By the time the EB110 came to market the North American and European economies were in recession and operations ceased in September 1995. A model specific to the United States market called the “Bugatti America” was in the preparatory stages when the company closed. Bugatti’s liquidators sold Lotus to Proton of Malaysia.
In 1997, German manufacturer Dauer Racing bought the EB110 license and remaining parts stock to Bugatti in order to produce five more EB110 SS units, although they were greatly refined by Dauer. The factory was later sold to a furniture making company, which also collapsed before they were able to move in. The factory still remains unoccupied to this day.
Perhaps the most famous Bugatti EB110 owner is the racing driver Michael Schumacher. He was 7-times Formula One world champion. Despite later racing for Ferrari, he still retained the EB110 he acquired while racing for the Benetton team. In 2003 Schumacher sold the car - repaired after a severe crash in 1994.
Bugatti Automobiles SAS
Volkswagen AG purchased the rights to produce cars under the Bugatti marque in 1998. They commissioned ItalDesign to produce the Bugatti EB118 concept, a touring sedanwhich featured a 555 hp DIN (408 kW) output and the first W-configuration 18-cylinder engine in any passenger vehicle, at the Paris Auto Show.
In 1999 the Bugatti EB 218 concept was introduced at the Geneva Auto Show; later that year the Bugatti 18/3 Chiron was introduced at the IAA (which is a autoshow in Frankfurt). At the Tokyo Motor Show the EB 218 reappeared and the Bugatti EB 16.4 Veyron was presented as the first incarnation of what was to be a production road car.
